Techno legend Orlando Voorn is responsible for our 26th release here at Repressure. A genuine must have. If it’s not for the beautiful original track No Fear, than it’s got to be for one or all of the remixes that were done by Portugal’s finest A.Paul, Milan based Raffaela Attanasio, French techno producer Alejandro Trebor, Dutch techno producer Jeroen Search and Jamez & Soulboy.
Orlando Voorn, one of the first Dutch musicians to establish a vital connection between Detroit and Amsterdam. His remix version of “Julunggul” takes you to his world where he has never limited himself to one particular style of producing. You could easily say that he is incredibly versatile in switching between many styles that demonstrates him as a well known producer. Releases like “Tone Exploitation” and “Phuture” are remixed by big names like Kevin Saunderson, Ken Ishii, Luke Slater, Robert Hood and Ben Sims. After more than two decades Orlando Voorn can look back on a solid career leaving a legacy of dance music from the past, present & future.
A.Paul’s popularity made him become the Best Portuguese Techno DJ, 3 years in a row, voted by the readers of Dance Club Magazine, the main magazine for dance music in Portugal. A’Paul was influenced by legends like Robert Hood, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Joey Beltram and Steve Rachmad.
Raffaele Attanasio already collaborated with artist Orlando Voorn on Nightvision Records and is supported by artists such as Len Faki, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Kirk Degiorgio, Chris Liebing, Ben Klock, Juan Atkins and Derrick May.
Alejandro Trebor’s passion for electronic music began just 5 years ago and has led him into becoming one of today’s hottest techno producers. After playing events with Alex Bau, Psyk, Secret Cinema, D.Carbone, Citizen Kain, Hans Bouffmyhre, and many more he embarked on creating his own imprint, Tanz Factory Records, with his friends Plankton, Ben Koechlin, Jull’ and Mada.
Jeroen Search simultaneously is one of techno’s most influential producers and well-kept public secrets. Consistently putting out quality music since the mid nineties on among many others his own genre-shaping Search imprint, he still resides where he has been for many years now. Named by many as a source of inspiration, Jeroen Search embodies a clear and honest interpretation of techno. Jeroen has so far put out his music on many respected labels such as Figure SPC, M_Rec LTD, Traut, Coincidence Records, and A&S, the latter he co-owns with friend and colleague Dimi Angélis. One of his personal highlights has been the ability to do two releases on Jeff Mills’ Axis/6277 label.
