Repressure s 47th release from Dutch techno talent Nathan Surreal has deep grooves, surrealistic melodies and unexpected similarities. With the help of Dantiez Saunderson (KMS) and Daniel Spanjaard, who did a brilliant job with remixing the track, this release is a must add to any techno set.
Born in the 90’s, the unexpected and innovative makes Nathan Surreal’s music and DJ-sets a unique listening experience. His signatures are: Deep grooves, heavy bass lines and melodic hooks crumbled with some dark twists.
Growing up in a creative family with an African background Nathan learned to play the African drums & Percussion instruments on an early age. Developing rhythmical skills on a young age and nowadays those same skills are used as powerful producer tools.
Son of Recording Artist (and techno pioneer) Kevin Saunderson and Singer/Songwriter Ann Saunderson. So you would imagine that it was a given that Dantiez was automatically going to establish a career for himself in the music industry. However, you would be sadly mistaken.
Not only has he immersed himself into producing music, but he has stepped into the world of djing. Although his inspiration to dj was by watching the likes of the three Originators of Techno (namely Derrick May, Juan Atkins and of course his own Dad, Kevin Saunderson), he has also been influenced by DJs such as Marco Carola and Seth Troxler.
This young man knows where hes going and as he says music is my life (just as it is with my Mother and Father), so the skys the limit…
Amsterdam based dj/producer Daniel Spanjaard is known for his raw, groovy sound and is inspired by the sounds of Ron Costa, Matt Sassari and Dubfire. His releases are supported by names like Arjun Vagale, Saso Recyd and Alex Costa, to name a few.
Repressure Recordings proudly presents Nathan Surreal as he always says: “Im inspired by the little tree in the middle of the woods & the Detroit sound”
