RR1113 | Potato Tomato EP – Two old school techno tracks with the distinctive Jamez sound

Technofreak | November 1, 2011

Our 13th release on Repressure is from Touché legend Jamez. Two old school techno tracks with the distinctive Jamez sound. Potato Tomato and Sato are the titles and Angel Alanis and Spetterphat did the remixes. Jamez probably needs no introduction. Together with Dobre he started Touché records in 1994. With classic releases like 51 Days’s Paper Moon, Tata Box Inhibitor’s Plasmids and Trancesetters releases like The Search, Roaches and the Saga. After his solo album on Mute records, he decided to take a break from the scene, but in 2008 he returned with releases on Repressure Recordings.

Chicago based Angel Alanis gives his vision of the track Potato Tomato. With numerous releases and even more remixes, Angel knows how to work a crowd. His recently launched Slap Jaxx label is already a respected label and being a member of DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid team, gives us all more to look out for. Spetterphat remixed the track Sato. This upcoming talent from the Netherlands already released two EP’s on Repressure. His productions and sound is somewhat different from everyone else’s, what makes every track interesting and a joy to listen to.

Get ready for Potato Tomatoes in your face!….
